
A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested after attempting to evade police in a stolen car in Chesterfield Township.
Around 3 a.m. on Friday, police responded to reports of vehicle break-ins in a neighborhood near 24 Mile and Sass roads. They encountered the suspects in a stolen vehicle, but the driver fled during a traffic stop, leading to a crash.
The driver, a Detroit resident, was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. The 17-year-old, from Wyandotte, attempted to escape on foot but was apprehended shortly after.
Police also pursued another vehicle that fled the area. The chase was called off, but the vehicle later crashed on westbound Interstate 94 near Harper Avenue, according to Chesterfield Township authorities.
The investigation remains ongoing.
