Saturday’s FA Trophy match against National League rivals Tamworth might come too early for the Irishman.
It has been a challenging start at Pools for the 28-year-old, who has battled with both form and fitness issues since joining in the summer.
Sloggett, who has only managed six starts and six substitute appearances so far, limped off during the closing stages of the remarkable victory over Solihull Moors.
The ex-University College Dublin, Derry City, and Dundalk player has missed the last two matchday squads. However, Limbrick has confirmed that he anticipates the midfielder will be back in contention shortly.
“I really felt for Greg because he came on at Solihull and was doing well,” Limbrick said.
“We could have used him as another option, particularly with (Nathan) Sheron moving back to right-back.
“It’s an ankle injury, and he’s still working his way through it.
“He’s a good professional who takes care of himself and is working hard with the physio, Danny (O’Connor), at the moment.”
“I’m not sure if he’ll be ready for next week; it might come a bit too soon.
“He’s not too far off, but this isn’t one of those quick recoveries where he’s only out for a week or so.
“He might not make it for the weekend, but he could be ready the following week.”
